The Karma's advanced series-hybrid drivetrain is the only one of its kind. A massive lithium battery cell powers two electric motors that develop over 950 ft-lbs of torque for surprisingly brisk acceleration. In pure electric mode, the Karma is capable of a 50 mile range when a gasoline generator will extend the range without limit. In combined driving, one can achieve more than a 100 mpg rating and emissions lower than other hybrid vehicles. Yet its spirit is that of a sports-tourer, with extensive luxury-minded features including 10.2" touch-screen navigation, heated seats, satellite radio, Bluetooth, dual zone climate control, bi-xenon headlights, and an exterior design that can simply be described as breathtaking.
