GranTurismo The Maserati GranTurismo is a creation of Pininfarina’s magnificent design talent - it is a modern, four-seat, two-door coupé that continues the Maserati tradition of combining performance and style.

The Maserati GranTurismo is arguably the only modern coupé that delivers much more than its sensual beauty initially suggests. Pininfarina’s latest creation was destined for greatness right from its debut, tracing its heritage right back to the very first gran turismo produced by Maserati, the 1947 A6 1500 GT Pininfarina. It also incorporates the innovation and impact embodied by the Birdcage 75th, the futuristic concept car Pininfarina created to celebrate their 75th anniversary.

For over 95 years Maserati has been a leading constructor of racing, performance and luxury automobiles. The GranTurismo does not stray from this tradition thanks to its distinct personality, its unique blend of power and elegance, its adventurous design and everyday practicality.

The muscular and aerodynamic shape has been carefully refined down to the smallest details and is the result of extensive wind tunnel testing. The V8 engine has all the characteristics of a competition-level power unit and was developed to respond instantly to the accelerator and reward with endless driving pleasure.

The GranTurismo scores top marks when it comes to style, technology and craftsmanship, characteristics that have been recognized and rewarded by numerous international ‘Best Car’ awards. This is testimony to the skill, professionalism and attention to detail that makes each Maserati truly unique.

GranTurismo S The Maserati GranTurismo S is the sportiest incarnation of Maserati’s coupé. Powered by a 4.7 liter V8 engine, it will attract the true driving enthusiast who wants a distinctive car that is both stylish and thrilling to drive.

The Maserati GranTurismo S features a new and powerful 4.7 liter V8 engine. Designed and built for Maserati by Ferrari, it generates 433 bhp, bestowing the GranTurismo S with a distinctive personality, responsiveness and power.

The transaxle set-up employed for the gearbox is a stunning example of Maserati technology and is essential for high performance cars: integrated into the rear axle is a new 6-speed paddle-shifted manual transmission. The transaxle, combined with the front-mid engine placement, increases the rearward weight bias of the GranTurismo S to 47% front, 53% rear, imbuing the 'S' with improved grip, traction and balance that mirrors the best mid-engined racecars. The suspension makes the most of this system thanks to new fixed-rate dampers that now offer 10% more damping. The brakes, developed in collaboration with Brembo, feature exclusive dual-cast iron rotors with aluminum hubs.

The sporty feel of the GranTurismo S is accentuated by Pininfarina’s modern lines. The detailing on the car renders it unmistakable: features include the red strakes in the Trident and the Saetta logo that mirror the standard red color of the brake calipers, a subtle trunk lid spoiler, and unique 20" wheels with Trident patterned spokes.

Style and elegance combined with extraordinary performance makes driving the Maserati GranTurismo S a thrilling experience for the true enthusiast.

The increased torque, mostly felt at low-mid range, together with the six-speed automatic transmission, brings out the car’s true GT spirit.
